Why are childhood experience so important in the novel, Jane Eyre?
Do you think Bronte's successful experience in writing about the childhood and has taken it changed your thinking on poverty and living conditions in the Victorian era?
They are important because they are crucial for Jane's character development are. Bronte Jane's childhood presented in a very realistic and true way. Jane is a totally convincing and violent child, in contrast to Oliver Twist, of a romantic picture of a child, Dickens is sentimentalizes. It did not change my thinking about childhood in Victorian England, as I knew these things already, but it has my knowledge.
