Time Favorites

What are some of you all-Time Favorite books and movies. Why are they your favorites?
Books: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card; Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell; Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2, Shrek 1 & 2, Everafter, Strictly Ballroom, Moulin Rouge, and most musicals. Favorites are favorites because they are "once again appeal. I like to read and saw many things. But it is the pound / movies that I can go back to over and over and enjoy that still come true favorites. If a book or film begins to lose appeal by the second or third time around ... it just does not work, what is it ultimately.

Great Recipes Good

I want some low-fat (tastes great) recipes. Who can give me some?
My fiance and I love pasta, fish, vegetables, and I love .. Especially vegetable egg rolls. Ooh Wee .. anywhoo, Does anyone know any good for me? Holla.
Mushrooms and cheese Fritrata Servings: 4 6 3 egg whites 2 whole eggs Tablespoons milk 1 / 4 teaspoon salt 1 / 4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper-spray Teflon cooking 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced 1 / 2 small onion, chopped 1 medium zucchini, 2 Sliced into slices ounces Gruyere cheese, grated 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme Preheat the grill. Whisk egg whites, eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a bowl until well blended. Heat a 9-inch nonstick frying pan over medium heat refractory. Spray with cooking spray and add the mushrooms and onions, fry until they soft and juices evaporate. Add the zucchini and saute until they are soft, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to medium low. Puor the egg mixture over the mushrooms and zucchini mixture. Sprinkle with the cheese and thyme. Cover and cook until the frittata is almost set but the top is still liquid. Set the Pan uncovered, under the broiler and cook until they are golden brown on top, about a minute or two. Remove from the oven, then loosen from pan with a spatula and cut it on a plate. Cut into 4 wedges and serve. ------------------------------------------- ------- -------------------------------- Pumpkin Black Bean Soup Serves: 6 2 tablespoons extra virgin Olive Oil 1 medium onion, diced small Juice and zest for life of two limes (divided) 3 garlic cloves, peeled 2 fresh red chilies (like jalapenos) cored and cut into slices 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stemmed and coarsely chopped 2 1 / 2 teaspoon ground cumin 1 / 2 teaspoon chili powder 1 / 4 teaspoon Chile powder Chipotle vegetable broth 4 cups (or use Imagine No Chicken brand) 1 cup jasmine rice, uncooked 2 15-ounce cans pumpkin puree 1 14-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed salt and pepper 6 tbsp. plain nonfat yogurt (or sour cream) 1 / 2 cup shelled pumpkin seeds (pepitas), toasted Heat oil in a large saucepan with medium heat. Add the onions and fry until soft but not brown. Remove from heat. In the bowl of Food Processor or blender, combine half the onions, lime zest, garlic, red chilli, half the coriander, cumin, chili powder and chipotle powder. Process until smooth. Return soup pot over medium Heat and add spice paste and stir until fragrant. Whisk in broth and bring to a boil and stir in rice. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in the pumpkin puree, black beans, 1 tablespoon lime juice and remaining cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Add additional lime juice if desired. Just before serving, check consistency of thin soup and broth or water. Serve immediately, garnish with 1 tablespoon sour cream or yogurt and a few toasted pumpkin seeds. ------------------------------------ -------------- -------------------------------- Fish Tacos Salsa: 2 medium Oranges, peeled and segmented 1 large avocado, peeled and seeded 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice cup chopped green onions cup chopped cilantro or 2 tablespoons dried cilantro flakes, ground pepper, salt if desired, if desired 6 Alaska Pollock fillets (4 to 6 ounces each), fresh, thawed or frozen 2 tablespoons Olive, canola, peanut or grapeseed oil 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 12 thin corn tortillas (6 to 8 inches) Prepare salsa: Cut oranges and avocados-inch chunks. Combined with the lime juice, onions and coriander in a bowl. Add chili flakes and salt to taste, set aside. Whitefish Prepare: Rinse The dry ice glaze from frozen Alaska Pollock fillets under cold water, pat with paper towel. Heat a heavy nonstick pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of the fillets with oil. Place fillets in heated pan and cook, uncovered, about 3 minutes until they brown. Shake pan occasionally to remain stuck in fish. Turn fillets over; Cover tightly and reduce heat to medium pan. Cook an additional 2 to 5 minutes. Cook just until fish is opaque throughout. Season with lemon pepper. Sprinkle fish fillets with lemon juice, break into small pieces. Spoon whitefish chunks and about 2 / 3 cup of salsa on a double layer of tortillas. Folds to serve you.
