Looking for a Pumpkin Bread recipe from Betty Crocker Cookbook CIRA 1969 to 1972.?
It uses a reduction instead of the new recipes I found. I lost the page in my Old Cookbook, and would all help in setting up the old recipe from that cookbook to appreciate!
Here you go: 2 / 3 c Shortening 2 2 / 3 C sugar, 4 eggs, 1 can (1 pound) pumpkin, 2 / 3 c water, 3 1 / 3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 1 1 / 2 tsp salt, 1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tsp Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cloves, 2 / 3 cup chopped nuts Coursely, 2 / 3 c raisins. Heat on 350th Grease two 9x5x3 inch loaf pans or three 8 1/2x4 1/2x2 1 / 2 inch loaf Pans. In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and Carnations. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into pans. Bake 70 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in the middle to clean out.
