Can anyone recommend a cookbook?
I try to eat healthier, but I really do not know where to begin. Does anyone have a great cookbook they live, could not without making the recipes that people like me (the fat to use refined carbohydrates,,) can enjoy etc? I would prefer to some alteration of recipe that I can start to experiment and move then in learning to new things and there. I hope that makes sense.
A good Book for beginners is "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon. It is healthy, but not a vegetarian, is a classic in Healthy Cooking. I use it a lot, although I do not 'm vegetarian. A good start is to do what you are used recipe, but use whole grains. For example: brown rice instead of white, whole wheat pasta instead of white, etc. As a general rule avoid white grains. Organic food is also a healthy difference. Trader Joe's has good prices for healthy foods. Http: / / www.traderjoes.com/
